Italian group Fiat embodies its program to revitalize the brand Abarth. At the motor show in Frankfurt introduced a new sporty model – Fiat Grande Punto Abarth SS, with a 180-strong engine. This is the car (with minor changes) will be for next year to participate in world championship rally.
Generally, there are two versions of Grande Punto Abarth: the base model, power 150 hp, and a sports SS, has a capacity of 180 hp. Interior gets a sports appearance – clean, without unnecessary detail, but not Spartan. According to the representatives of the Italian company, Fiat Grande Punto Abarth SS is a «hot» hatchback among all represented at the exhibition.
All the Italians do is usually fashionable and sexually, including cars. And this applies not only to supercars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, or a standard of autoerotic – Alfa Romeo Brera. But can it concern such a small series hatchback? Maybe.
FIAT opened the summer season by start of selling an open version of super popular in Europe mini-hatchback 500. FIAT 500 C cabriolet is quite significantly different from other versions of this car. If the tissue folding roof is everyday-like, it is with very unusual attachment. Imagine that the roof has a huge hole cut out, leaving only lateral guidance for pulling the cloth. Another strong point of the new FIAT 500 C was the persistence of high levels of climatic and acoustic comfort. At least, so say engineers of Italian automaker.
